Weatherization
The Weatherization program provides identification of high-energy consumption habits, and counseling and education of clients for energy-efficient living. Funded through the Office of Energy Resources, this program provides materials and labor needed to increase the energy efficiency of homes of low-income individuals.
Georgia Power
This program provides materials, labor and knowledge necessary to increase the energy efficiency in the homes of low-income, Georgia Power customers with electricity as a primary heating source.
Lead Based Paint Counseling
Many homes and apartments built before 1978 contain paint with high levels of lead. Counseling on Lead Safe Practices will be provided at Community Service Centers and Head Start Parent/Teacher meetings to clients and the general public. A pamphlet approved by the Environmental Protection Agency is provided during the counseling sessions.
